I purchased this product for self serve beverages for a party. The spigot was plastic and flimsy--to say the least. After filling the jar with iced tea I walked away for a few minutes returning to find iced tea all over the floor. Not wanting to believe I had wasted my money and couldn't even use it once, I drained it then tightened the spigot again. To no avail. The glass is cheap the craftsmanship is poor, and it will not hold your beverage. Mine is a flower pot because I tried for so long to get it to work I missed the return date.

A couple of misleading aspects of the picture on the product page (which is all you get, since the description is only one line): the spigot is NOT metal, it's extremely cheap plastic; and the little hanging sign actually sits on top of the spigot unless you remove links from the chain.

The spigot is such garbage that it constantly leaked, making the entire dispenser useless.

Two good things: the ceramic part looks/feels good, and the spigot is removable.

We purchased this to be a big vinegar crock, and it works perfectly! We replaced the lid with a cheesecloth, added mother and now when we have leftover wine we put it in the crock. This would also make an outstanding counter crock for room temp water, maybe I'll buy another......
