The problem is with the cheap metal coated plastic spigot. The cheap metal coating reacted with the acidic drink I had in my jar and was eaten off. As the coating came off it left a horrible metallic taste to my drink, which really became undrinkable. Since the company makes their spigot so much smaller than the common replacement size I found that I couldn't order another spigot the same size. I contacted the company to see if they had a better spigot, they said they would check and call back, but I guess they never really found the time... After much work I was able to enlarge the hole and replace with a better quality spigot that won't react with my drink.
