We filled the bottom container with ice and the upper with liquid, as suggested, the first time we used it. At the end of the night, when the upper unit was 2/3rds empty, I noticed that the lower section had a large crack in it. Also, the fit between the upper and lower parts is very loose. When empty the upper shifts around a lot. There is a card included which warns about this and says it will stabilize when full. That's true, it does, as long as it stays full. However, if you dispense most of the beverage from your beverage dispenser it loses stability and begins to shift around again. At the beginning of the evening it worked beautifully and was the object of many positive comments. Unfortunatly, we only got to use it that one time. I decorated it almost exactly as the picture. But, the beverage came out soooo slow that I actually took the lid off the dispenser and put in a ladle to use instead. The spout is also plastic and not steel. There are a lot of other dispensers out there that now have steel dispensers for close to the same amount of money. They do not even dispense water properly. Water dribbles out, taking long minutes to fill a single cup. I ordered 3 of them; they all have the identical problem. 2) Customer service with Artland is non-existent. I have been calling & leaving messages, but nobody answers or returns calls. I wanted to see if they were aware of the spout problem and had a possible solution worked out with a new spout or a lead on where to find one, but no such luck. Have a little pride, Artland, and make sure that you either sell functioning products or are willing to at least work with your customers to find solutions to the obvious failure of said products. |
